Haven’t had time to get much court time with these but upon trying them on and some light shoot arounds here are my thoughts
Kobe XI: wait, I mean Kobe IX. Feels very similar to the IX which is good for some bad for others. Zoom feels good in the heel at least. Flyknit infused with fishing line (TPU) feels great. I went true to size and they are a little long but not enough to go down half a size.
J Crossover III: Blackfoam feels fantastic . Very comfortable shoe all around . Worried about containment just like the JC2. I went true to size and fits perfect length and width wise for me.
Hyperrev 2016: Zoom feels great. Does Nike hide the reserve batch of Zoom somewhere ? Fits great too. These should be fantastic. A little longer at toe but width wise they are fine. Could drop down half a size if I had narrower feet.
Might take awhile so be patient but feel free to ask questions .

So the Hyperrev looks like a keeper, huh ? Great cushioning, nice price…but how about putting the foot inside it ? I hear it is a pain in the ass to put it with a brace (Duke from Weartesters couldn’t wear it with a brace). How was it for you ? I have the 2015 version and while I it is a little harder than the average to put it on.

It is a pain but not impossible to put on. I only have an adidas speed wrap and it fit fine. You have to spread it up top and pull on the back to get your foot in.

nice, got the kobe’s but haven’t played with them yet. no to JC3’s then if containment is an issue. but will patiently wait for the hyperrev’s! Thanks!

Does zoom on the hyperrev feel better than the melo m12 or even the xx9?

Melo doesn’t feel like anything so Hyperrev easily has better zoom. Xx9 only has forefoot zoom and still has a slight edge but Hyperrev has heel zoom as well while the xx9 only has foam in the heel

How would you compare it to the xx9. In terms of overall performance. Personal preference of course.

I haven’t played enough in them to decide but I didn’t like the xx9. No containment by the upper and heel was tippy ( I could tip it from s stand still )

Almost but not quite. It is missing something but I’m not sure what. Feels like thick micro g which is a good thing . like it way more then Jetlon

BY the way, any chance you will be getting the lebron ambassador 8’s and review them? Based on @nyjumpman’s initial assessment they look like they will also perform.

Oh nice! I liked the 10 more also haha. The 9 was awesome though too. Maybe I’ll wait it out then until the Jordan XXX for a new performance shoe.

Count me in as another fan of the Kobe 10. Imagine me baffled when jahronmon puts it as the most disappointing performance shoe of the year when the dude didn’t even play in them. Kobe 9 was way too clunky on the heel. Looking forward to your JC3 review as I have similar containment needs as you do.

Yup. Some people called him out on it, but he said he knows a bad shoe when he sees one since he weartests for a living. It’s weartesters end of year review, worst on court performance shoe of the year.

I could be wrong but is the kobe 11 heel a little unstable? it looks pretty weird, its getting smaller from top to bottom. A sprain waiting to happen…or does it work?

Actually the shoe is very stable and low to the ground . Much better than the IX

No def not worth it. Already on discount here in the US. Lots of reviews already up that are pretty accurate imo. Kicks genius foamer and weartesters nyjumpman .
Containment on rev good so far . The raised midsole is the key difference from the orig

I’m already passing on the Kobe XIs. They do nothing new for me and I’d rather spend my money elsewhere.
Really curious about the HyperRev 2016. They look like a good performance shoe and at surprisingly reasonable price. Tempted to buy a pair.
JC3s are very nice. I have enjoyed playing in my pair for a couple of weeks. I agree that Black Foam feels like Micro G – maybe even a little amped version of Micro G. I really dig it – it’s probably my favorite foam cushioning right now. Transition and traction are very good for me. Fit takes a little adjustment as they stretch a little the first few wearings then they settle in. Fit is now very good for me. Support is good – shoe feels stable once you get the fit right. Shoe almost feels like a low but with a little more support. I’ll probably get another pair in the next month or two to keep on ice for when my current pair gets worn out.

Ha good idea on the Kobe XI . Hyperrev seems to be a sneaky good shoe with no hype . Jc3 are comfy so far and I don’t expect that to change

Most reviewers complain on the Traction of kobe xi. If it’s like the 9 then traction should be beast?
Blackfoam= amped Micro G?! I need a pair of those JC3! Hyperrev seems like a good performer- i’ll wait til they hit the sale racks!

Yea I need to get on my Ymca court to test the Kobe XI traction . Blackfoam is great but shoe isn’t for me . Hyperrev is just a plain great performer

Too bad they haven’t been working for you. Took me a a couple days of playing to dial my JC3s in. Initially I could feel my foot coming off the footbed a bit in the forefoot on really hard cuts. I realized the upper stretches a bit during break in so I found double socking (a thicker elite like sock plus a thinner no show) helped eat up the extra volume and then the fit and containment got much better. Might have been better if I went down 1/2 size like Nightwing suggested. TTS felt right initially so that is what I went with. Definitely wear them with the shroud for the extra ankle support because the upper is very flexible around the heel without it.

Finally got my JC3’s.. Court feel is a lot better than the 2. Especially the forefoot containment so no sliding off the foot bed because of the woven.

Does the JC3’s Blackfoot cushion have to break in? Because I only played in mines 2 times and don’t feel cushion yet.

No not really. It should feel muted bc of the vector plates though .
