Before jumping into a Randy’s review let’s all congratulate Randy for signing a contract overseas to play professionally! It’s always been his goal and he worked hard as hell to attain it. If you want to get better I’m going to tell you a secret:
#itaintheshoesmars, it’s talent, guys and work ethic.
Super proud and happy for Randy, go congratulate him on his channel or Instagram
AJ XXXII Review
Traction
Sounds better than the XXXI, although I wonder if it’s better than the XXXI solid outsole on my lows. We will see in coming weeks I guess.
Cushioning
I tried a pair on and I could feel the Zoom in the forefoot and heel just as Randy did. I like heel and forefoot if it’s done right and it sounds great.
Fit
True to size unless you have very wide feet or very narrow. Just don’t tighten the laces too tight. No movement side to side or and heel slip. I went true to size on try on and it’s indeed very snug for my wide feet but not uncomfortable.
Materials
Sounds nice looks nice feels nice
Support and Stability
Sounds solid all around and no protruding Zoom. I had no issues with the XXX1 and got over the protrusion during play so the XXXII will feel more stable.
Containment
No issues for Randy here either and he’s a swoll 6’4″ guard.
Conclusion
Sounds like a winner to me based on Randy’s review. Everything sounds more refined and it seems like an overall improvement from the XXXI.
When I am doing the XXXII?
I haven’t reviewed the XXXII yet because I just can’t pull off all red . Sorry I put them on looked at myself and said GTFO. I’m going to wait for a colorway I actually want. Novel concept huh ?
Dame 4 update**
True to size worked best for me. I think narrow or reg footers could stay true to size or half a size down. Cushioning plays firmer than I thought upon try on but is still pretty comfortable and bouncy but not as soft as the 2. Fit, stability and containment are all excellent but traction needs some work so I’m going to break them in more before a final verdict on it. The portion from the midfoot and back was horrible even on clean floors probably due to the rubber and the fact that the pattern goes left to right only.
I found that if I didn’t put lots of pressure on the traction it didn’t stick at all. I was sliding on clean and dusty courts the first few times but it improved so I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
Seems like the traction got a bit too complicated. Everything about the 32 i have heard so far proved my initial impression of those too

I have yet to wait for your green light for the 32 lows before coping a pair. I’m so happy with the 31 lows, I already have 3 pairs all with solid outsole. No issues with the protruding heel zoom too.

Interesting with your experience on the Dame 4 traction. For whatever reason mine have stuck like glue no matter the floor I’ve played on. In fact I’d say I’ve experienced better traction with them than the crazylight boost 2016’s. My experience has been in far contrast with yours which is strange. Reading your reviews, I typically have near identical shoe experiences that you have in majority of your tests. Any thoughts on what could be the extreme difference in play for us?

I have no idea ! Played again on a dusty floor and I wasn’t slipping and sliding but needed to wipe here and there. At least it was better than the Hardens though. Traction aside I love everything else a lot

Wiping is definitely required here and there, especially on the dusty courts. I actually just got done playing in the Dame’s again, and was good to go. Agreed, the Harden’s I had no such luck. Those were like skating. A few times almost made myself do a split on a hard cross or pullbacks lol. Hopefully the Dame traction continues to improve, it is an otherwise all around great shoe.

I find the humidity level affects some shoes more than others – for instance with my KD9’s the traction is a little weak normally but if it is humid it becomes better than most of my shoes.

Absolutely correct. Humidity is your friend when it comes to traction.. it’s like constantly wiping your shoes with spit.

As always, waiting on your take for the AJ32, LBJ15, and SC4. I potentially might get 2/3 but definitely 1 of those! Thanks as always Schwollo!

Ha I’m waiting on all three myself! Sc4 pre order went through at least

I cannot wait for your dame 4 review! Im a fast, small guard and love narrow fit shoes. With balanced cushion and a comfortable upper these are the top of my list. Traction ok on lightly dusty floors?

Everything about the shoe is great. Traction needs break in though to get decent on dusty floors. Traction is really the only weak spot but it’s gotten a lot better . Right now I’d say it’s a little worse than the Clutchfit Drive 1 traction but better than Hardens on dusty floors .

I should be done this week with it though. Trying a few more times on dusty floors this week

If the Dame 4 had great traction, It would be my favorite shoe of all time

It would definitely be up there in my book as well. You get a pair ?

Yeah I bought a pair when they first came out. After a 12 hours of play, including two rec league games, I decided to give up on the Dame 4’s. I Feel like the traction is weaker than the Lillard 2 and the Dame 3. Im might tryout the LeBron 15, AJ32 or the Curry 4 (a little hesitant on the Curry 4 due to the cushion and support).

I agree with that assessment.

I just want to leave a comment here after trying the 32 Lows for those wide footers.
You may have to size up half a size because of the tightness of the knit in between mid foot and the joints area. It got uncomfortable real quick after an hour or 2 with the knit eating into the sides. The only closest approximation that I can compare the shoes that have similar feeling is the KD9.
I have to use them as casuals for now and even so it still got uncomfortable after a few hours.
Best is to try it in store if you can.
