To simplify all the reviews and comparisons I did on UA’s recent releases, here is a quick summary for easy reference with the links to each review.
I mean the all look pretty damn similar so it’s hard to differentiate and they all pretty much perform the same and are all pretty much for guards.
Clutchfit Drive 2 Performance Review
Great all around performer but very little Clutchfit material and boring design. Pure Charged cushioning is an upgrade over the Curry One set up
Torch 4 $95
Well put together budget shoe. Too much deadspace in forefoot and containment issues but everything else is excellent.
The Frankenshoes
Clutchfit Lightning 2 $95
Basically the Clutchfit Drive 1 but with dumbed downed materials. Poor build quality but everything else almost identical to CFD 1
Prodigy $115
Half Clutchfut Drive 1, half Curry One
Half the upper is Clutchft while the rest is synthetic. Tooling is exactly the same as the Curry One.
Clutchfit Drive Highlight 2 $129
Clutchfit Highlight 2 Comparison Review
Half Clutchfit Drive 1 half Curry One
My favorite of the Frankenshoes. Full Clutchfit upper with Curry One tooling.
I hope this guide helps. I’m just waiting on the Curry Two as is the rest of UA consumers. Especially at $130 price point.
I think UA has a good thing going with these platforms, but I’d like to see them engineer them a little differently to tailor for different positions. These are pretty much all guard/wing shoes with similar cushioning platforms and materials. Why not beef one of the models up for bigger wings/posts? Nike did this somewhat a few years back by having three similar looking team shoes geared for different needs.
If they aren’t gonna differentiate the builds, then the price needs to be stratified some. Not sure I agree with having 5 models, that look extremely similar, in the same price range. Great breakdown, btw.

Exactly . They all feel great but are all really the same shoe . The Torch is the only one that looks different and that’s a stretch. If they are going to just do guard shoes ( which is a good idea business wise) but change them up a little more and make them less similar. Miss your reviews Jake!

Hi, awesome comparisons! Could you please review Nike Zoom Hyperquickness 2015 and Nike Zoom Without A Doubt shoes. I’d love to hear your thoughts on these shoes especially the latter as it’s name is the most ballin’ I’ve heard Nike ever gave to its kicks 🙂

Haha those are two shoes that are not on my radar unfortunately . I’ll have to check them out and see what they see all about.
