On deck, Under Armour Torch 4 Performance Review

UA Torch 4
I prefer the look of the look of the Torch 4 over the Clutchfit Drive 2 quite honestly. So clean and simple 

I decided to try them out and see what $94.99 gets me with UA nowadays. 

I’m testing the CFD 2 and Torch 4 concurrently so may take a little longer to get them both done. So far I’ve noticed 

  1. Full length Micro G is still awesome regardless of price 
  2. Traction is awesome
  3. Materials aren’t as nice as CFD1 but feel good overall
  4. Fit is good: No heel slip but a bit of dead space on sides of forefoot.

    Thanks for the info. I wish ua makes a low version of the cfd 2 and torch 4. Tried playing in my mid clutchfit 1s yesterday and felt slowed down by them as i have grown accustomed to lows. Have you ever felt like this?

      They are making a CFD 2 but not a torch I believe. I’ve seen some pics online and they look better.
      It’s all in your head if you felt slower. CFD mid weighs one ounce more and is flexible . Maybe a stiffer shoe would slow you down.

    Hey, So I finally got the Rose 5 Boost….AND BOOST IS FREAKING AWESOME! It also is good because I have a recent knee injury that I am rehabbing before going back overseas to play basketball. That being said, high-top Clutchfit drive 1 and 2 is very appealing to the eye. My question is: Full-length Micro G vs Full boost – What is better for (3) Performance, Durability, and knees? Thank you in advance

      Full length boost is better . I’ve had my CFD for a year and I can tell a difference in the micro g vs a new pair although it isn’t a big difference . Boost feels the same . I d like more in the forefoot but hey they aren’t my shoes . We will see what the Rose 6 feels like although it doesn’t look full length ?

        Really? Oh wow, I didn’t know the Boost in the Rose 6 WASN’T full length! This Rose 5 has been so great to me because it is a full-length setup and is consistent/transition is smooth, and I haven’t had that in a LOOOOOOONG time!(Targeted Zoom, Plate, Lunar, etc) If transition is like the 5 and segmented, I may just get more pairs of the 5 and ditch the Rose 6! Would you agree? lol! And I played in Mexico in San Luis Potosi, and also briefly did some work in Turkey after

        Yep i saw some pics and it definitely segmented but it looks thicker in the forefoot. I agree I love the transition with full length and it amazing feeling. Il

    I have a feeling the rose 6 does have full length boost, it’s just covered up around the perimeter for more stability. But. We will find out soon…

    Can’t wait for the new UA reviews. Keep it up!

      Yea you might be right I can’t tell just from the side. Some pics of the sole are out but still can’t tell since there are only two windows showing boost lol .

      Not the best example considering I have a large rotation of shoes I’ve had my Clutchfit drive for a year and still feels good . I’ve probably worn them about 40 times
      Definitely feels better and lasts longer then Lunarlon
